Mind Meets Heart was founded by counsellor/psychotherapist Sandy Brouvalis (MCounsPsychthpy, BSci, BE, PACFA Certified Practising Counsellor) and is based in Melbourne’s southeast.

Sandy is trained in a range of psychotherapeutic frameworks, including IFS (Internal Family Systems), Interpersonal, Psychodynamic, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Existential, Schema and CBT, and she adapts her approach to each client based on their goals for therapy.

Sandy’s group therapy approach is based on Irvin Yalom’s group therapy method, an approach that provides the opportunity to better understand and shift interpersonal patterns that may be contributing to relationship and life difficulties.

Sandy believes that the relationship between client and therapist is a key factor in the positive outcomes of therapy.
