Group therapy

Group therapy has a long, proven record as a highly effective form of psychotherapy for improving relationships and self-esteem.

Sandy Brouvalis runs interpersonal therapy groups based on Irvin Yalom’s group therapy method. Groups run weekly on a weeknight with six to eight members.

Group therapy can help you understand and change your unconscious patterns in relationships. In group you freely interact with other members with the guidance of the group therapist, and give and receive feedback on how you relate and respond to each other. Valuable insights are gained, and you have the opportunity to try new things that you can then bring into your outside relationships.

‘Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength.’
― Sigmund Freud

If you are interested in joining a group, you will need to have one or two individual sessions with Sandy in order to assess whether interpersonal group work is right for you. Sometimes it can take some time for a spot to become available in a group however once you are assessed as suitable, you will be placed on a waitlist.
